ChartsPod Open-Interest Panel: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
ChartsPod lists open interest among its derivatives data. Units, venue and period decide what an OI change means.
Short answer
In an OI panel, check the unit (contracts, coins or USD), the venue (single or aggregated), the period of change shown (1h, 24h), and whether history has gaps. USD OI rises with price even when positions don't change; coin OI isolates positioning. Read OI change with price change: up/up suggests new longs, down/up suggests short covering.
