Order Flow Around FOMC Releases in Crypto: What Price Response Adds to the Reading

FOMC decisions arrive with a statement and, later, a press conference. Crypto order flow often reacts twice, and the second reaction can reverse the first.

Short answer

Around an FOMC decision, liquidity often thins before the statement, aggressive flow arrives at release, and a second wave follows during the press conference. Measure depth, spread, delta and liquidations in fixed windows around both times (in UTC), and compare the first reaction's direction with the price 60–90 minutes later. Whether the first move holds is the key price-response question.
