GeckoTerminal for Footprint Row Resolution: What It Can and Cannot Cover

A footprint needs trades bucketed by price inside each candle. GeckoTerminal provides pool trades and candles, from which a rough DEX footprint can be built yourself.

Short answer

CoinGecko's onchain API (GeckoTerminal data) offers pool OHLCV (second to day timeframes) and recent trades by pool, but no footprint chart. With trades, you can bucket volume by price row per candle yourself; AMM trades are swaps, so 'bid' and 'ask' map to sell and buy swaps. Limits: recent-trade endpoints cover a short window, and thin pools produce sparse rows. ChartsPod's footprint covers CEX and Hyperliquid markets.
