DEX Token Social Links: How to Read the Number Before a Swap

Token pages often list a website and social accounts. Those links are supplied by whoever set up the profile and can be empty, outdated or copies.

Short answer

DEX Screener token profiles can include a header, description and links, and those fields are nullable. Links are supplied by the token's representatives, so they show what was claimed, not what was verified. Before a swap, open the links, check that the website and social accounts reference the same contract address, look at account age and activity, and be wary of profiles copying a known project. Missing links aren't proof of anything; matching addresses are the key check.

Sources and methodology

DEX Screener behaviour comes from its official documentation; pool and token concepts from CoinGecko, Uniswap, Raydium and Solana documentation, as read on 17 October 2026. Examples use illustrative numbers and do not refer to any real token. Nothing here is a recommendation to trade any token.
