ChartsPod News Context Panel: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis

ChartsPod lists news alongside its calendar. News is useful as context when each item's time and source are visible next to price.

Short answer

When using a news panel, check whether each item shows its publication time and source, how quickly items appear (delay from publication), whether items link to primary sources, and filtering by asset. Align news times with price on the chart: moves that start before publication weren't caused by that item. Treat headlines as prompts to verify, not facts.

Common first-session mistakes:

  • Attributing earlier moves to later news
  • Secondary sources as facts
  • No time shown
