ChartsPod BTCUSDT Charts: Confirm Binance Spot or USD-M Before Analysis
'BTCUSDT' names a pair, not a market. On Binance it can mean the spot pair or the USD-M perpetual. Confirm which before any analysis.
Short answer
Before analysing BTCUSDT in ChartsPod, confirm the venue and whether the chart is Binance spot or Binance USD-M perpetual (or another supported venue's contract). Spot has no funding or open interest; the perpetual has funding, OI and liquidations and is risk-managed on mark price. Check the market label in the chart and in each order-flow and derivatives tool, and record it with every note. ChartsPod's BTC playbook and terminal link use the BTCUSDT symbol.

How to confirm
Control names in the terminal can change between releases. If a label differs from this guide, look for the setting that does the job described.
Pitfalls specific to BTCUSDT
BTCUSDT is the most-watched pair, so it is also where screenshots circulate without venue labels. When someone shares a level, ask which venue and market it came from. Perpetual and spot levels can differ by the basis.
Funding times concentrate activity on perpetuals; spot shows no such effect. If a move coincides with a funding time, check the perp first.
Example: a level that wasn't
Illustrative: a shared screenshot marks a 'clean high' at 64,800 on BTCUSDT. On the trader's own venue spot chart, the high was 64,690; the screenshot came from a perpetual trading at a premium. A stop placed just above 64,800 on spot would have been far from the actual high.
Which to use
Trade perps? Analyse the perp and use spot as context, and vice versa. For side-by-side, see How to Compare Spot and Perpetual Charts in ChartsPod; for venue switching, How to Switch Binance, Bybit, OKX and Hyperliquid Context in ChartsPod.

Sources and methodology
ChartsPod capabilities were checked against its public overview, documentation index, markets and indicator pages on 17 October 2026. Exact control names inside the terminal can change between releases, so this guide describes what to set and check rather than quoting menu labels. Venue availability is shown per tool in the terminal. Worked examples use illustrative numbers.
