GeckoTerminal for Large-Trade Analysis: What It Can and Cannot Cover
CoinGecko's pool-trades endpoint can filter trades by USD size. That makes large-swap analysis on DEX pools possible, within the endpoint's limits.
Short answer
CoinGecko's onchain trades-by-pool endpoint (GeckoTerminal data) accepts a trade_volume_in_usd_greater_than filter and returns trades with block_timestamp, kind (buy/sell) and volume_in_usd. By default it returns the last 300 trades in 24 hours; higher plans can page further. That supports large-swap analysis for one pool at a time. It doesn't cover CEX trades. ChartsPod's tape covers Binance, Bybit, OKX and Hyperliquid markets.
Coverage
| Parameter / field | Use |
|---|---|
| trade_volume_in_usd_greater_than | Size filter |
| kind | Buy or sell |
| block_timestamp | Event time |
| tx_from_address | Who traded |
Limits
The default response is the last 300 trades in 24 hours; on busy pools that's a short window. Poll and deduplicate by tx_hash for longer studies.
