DEX Trending Scores: How to Read the Number Before a Swap

DEX Screener's trending ranking combines several inputs, including market activity, engagement and boosts. A high rank is not a quality score.

Short answer

DEX Screener describes its trending ranking as using multiple inputs, including market activity, community engagement and paid boosts. So a token can rank high because of volume (which can be inflated), attention or purchased visibility. Before a swap, check why it's trending: liquidity, unique makers, whether boosts are active, and token age. Trending reflects attention now; it says nothing about safety or value.
