ChartsPod Stacked Imbalance Zones: Settings to Check Before Your First Analysis
Stacked imbalance zones extend consecutive imbalances forward as areas of interest. Their count and placement depend on settings you should fix.
Short answer
A stacked imbalance zone marks a price area where several consecutive rows showed imbalances on the same side, and is often projected forward as potential support or resistance. Before analysis, check the minimum number of stacked rows, the imbalance ratio and comparison type, minimum volume per row, row size and whether zones expire. Zones are hypotheses about where aggressive participants acted; test how price behaves on returns rather than treating them as levels.

Worked example
Illustrative: with 3-row stacks, a buy zone forms at 59,880–59,940. Two hours later price returns; the footprint shows sellers absorbed inside the zone and price holds. Logging such returns over weeks shows how often zones hold on your market.
