Aroon in Crypto: Warm-Up Bars and Short-History Errors

Aroon only looks at how many bars ago the highest high and lowest low occurred within its window. Once the window is full, it's exact.

Short answer

Aroon(25) needs 26 bars (the window plus the current bar). It isn't recursive: after the window fills, values don't depend on earlier history. The short-history risk is different: on a new listing, the 'highest high in 25 bars' may be the launch spike, so Aroon Down readings can stay extreme simply because the listing started with a dump. Mark the first valid bar and be careful with launch-period extremes.
