AI Crypto Range Research: How to Check Timestamps Before Trusting the Answer
A range is defined by a start time, a high and a low. If the AI doesn't say when the range began, its edges can't be checked.
Short answer
Before trusting an AI range answer, require the range start time, the timestamps of the bars that set the high and low, and the time of each edge test it cites. Without these, the range may have been fitted with hindsight or to a different window. Check that the claimed edge tests happened after the range formed, and that the fetch time is recent enough for the conclusion. Reject range descriptions without a start time.
Timestamps the answer must carry
| Value | Timestamp to require | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Range start | Timestamp | Defines the window |
| High / low | Bar times | Verifiable edges |
| Edge tests | Each test's time | Must follow formation |
| Fetch | Time of answer | Staleness |
Checks before trusting it
Worked example
Illustrative: the AI cited an upper-edge test on 5 October, but the range high wasn't set until 6 October. The 'test' was part of forming the range, not a test of it.
